Refund & Return Policy – 100% Silk Products (UAE Jurisdiction)

At Unya Store, every piece is crafted from 100% pure, ethically sourced silk. Silk is a naturally luxurious, delicate and breathable fiber – valued for its smooth texture, hypoallergenic properties and elegant sheen.
Because of its premium nature, each product undergoes meticulous quality control to ensure it meets the high standards our brand represents. This Refund & Return Policy complies with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including the UAE Consumer Protection Law and UAE eCommerce regulations.
1. Eligibility for Returns (30 Days)
We accept returns within 30 days from the date of delivery, provided that:
- The product is unused, unworn, and in perfect original condition.
- The silk shows no signs of wear, stretching, or damage.
- No presence of perfume, makeup, oils, deodorant, sweat or any trace of use.
- The item has not been washed, steamed, ironed or exposed to humidity.
- All original packaging, silk pouches, tags and care cards are included.
- The hygiene seal (if applicable) is intact and unbroken.
Items failing to meet these conditions are not eligible for return and will be shipped back to the customer.
2. Non-Returnable Silk Items
For hygiene and fabric-sensitivity reasons, we cannot accept returns on:
- Silk pillowcases, silk sleep masks, silk scrunchies or any product that contacts face, hair or skin.
- Items that have been washed, steamed, ironed, or exposed to moisture.
- Customized, monogrammed or made-to-order silk items.
- Gift cards.
- Sale or promotional items (unless defective).
- Items showing scents, makeup marks, fiber frizz, or stretching.
3. Defective or Damaged Products
If you receive a defective, damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at:

Please include photos or videos showing the issue. Natural variations in silk texture, fiber irregularities and minor color differences are inherent to pure silk and are not considered defects.
4. Return Shipping
- Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item is defective or incorrect.
- We recommend using a trackable and insured courier.
- Unya Store is not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit.
5. Return Approval Process
- Your request is reviewed by our team.
- If approved, you will receive return instructions by email.
- Once the item arrives, our quality-control team inspects the silk.
- A final approval or rejection is emailed to you.
Items that fail inspection will be returned to the customer.
6. Exchanges
Due to the delicate nature of silk fibers, we do not offer direct exchanges. To exchange, please return the item (if eligible) and place a new order.
7. Store Credit
If you choose store credit:
- A digital credit code will be emailed to you.
- The credit does not expire.
- It may be used on any future purchase.
8. Refunds
If a refund is approved:
- It will be issued to the original payment method.
- Processing may take 7–14 business days depending on your bank.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable.
- Customs/import fees (if any) cannot be refunded.
9. Order Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled only before they are shipped. After dispatch, the order must follow the standard return process.
10. Care & Handling of Silk
To preserve the natural beauty and longevity of your silk item, please follow these care recommendations:
DOs
- Hand wash silk gently in cold water with a silk-safe detergent.
- Dry flat and away from direct sunlight.
- Use pH-neutral products.
- Store in a breathable pouch.
- Handle with clean, fragrance-free hands.
DON’Ts
- Do not machine wash.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Do not wring, twist or stretch the fabric.
- Do not expose silk to perfume, deodorant or lotions.
- Do not iron on high heat.
- Do not store silk in plastic or humid environments.
